Coconut Flour is produced from fresh, organic coconut meat, which is dried, defatted and finely ground to produce the flour. It is high-fiber, high protein, low fat, GLUTEN FREE, product. Coconut flour is cream colored with a slight nutty odor. The fatty acid content of coconut flour is mostly lauric (48.4%). Unlike wheat flour, coconut flour offers a good amount of essential amino acids.
Good source of fiber due to its high dietary fiber content (40%). Enhances the flavor of most products (chocolate, vanilla, etc). Improves the texture of baked products.
Shelf life: 1 year at room temperature.
