Currently the only barcode scanner that is supported by Gluten Guard is the SDIO In-Hand Barcode Scanner made by Socket Communications. More barcode scanners are sure to be available in the future. At which time, they will be posted here. If you plan to use a barcode scanner make sure your pocket PC has a SDIO card slot. The SDIO In-Hand Barcode Scanner must be inserted into a SDIO card slot. Sometimes a retail website specifications page for a pocket PC will only say SD card slot when, in fact, it has a SDIO card slot. Results
There are a number of different results you may get when using Gluten Guard. Use the following list as a guide for each result. - Red – Product has one or more ingredients known to contain gluten.
- Yellow – Product has one or more ingredients that MAY have cross contamination risks or unknown manufacturing processes. When you get a yellow caution, check to see what ingredient caused it (press Why ? button) and many times it will be an ingredient that you are not sensitive to or have information about and can safely consume.
- Green – Product does not have ingredients that contain gluten.
- Blue – Product is not in the Gluten Guard databank. Use the Add Note feature to take full advantage of Gluten Guard.
