I was diagnosed ~ 5 yrs ago and read this book last month (8/2007). I firmly believe that this should be "required" reading for anyone diagnosed or suspects that Celiac disease is at play. As stated by the previous reviewer it can be a bit technical but is presented well in mostly laymens terms (I'm a CRNA so this may be my bias). It certainly taught me things about my disease process that I hadn't gleaned in the past five years of living, eating, reading and educating my self on being gluten free. It also does a good job of dispelling many of the myths that abound about celiac disease and practical information on working with your doctor, nutritionist, friends and family.
