I followed the instructions to the letter and the bread turned out golden brown and fairly light in texture. The only problem, the crust was all wrong and it did not taste like Fench bread in any way shape or form. I am from the Bay Area in CA and the ONE thing I am going to miss is a great piece of sourdough!
